About Craig Rigdon

On The Dot started as a family problem.

Craig Rigdon — a busy dad of four — was drowning in drop-offs and pickups. A typical Saturday meant a birthday party, a game, a play date, a rehearsal, groceries, and a trip to the hardware store, often with timing updates arriving by text from his equally busy wife.

He had just moved to a new city, so every destination meant opening Maps, guessing traffic, and adding buffer for a wiggly toddler who did not want the car seat. Between the family calendar, a growing “Daddy Do” list, and a neighbourhood he did not know yet, he wanted one thing: a notification, based on where he was, of how much time he still had before he had to leave.

He could not find that app, so he built it.

What began as a tool for his own household turned out to be useful for anyone who has somewhere to be — one kid or four, one calendar or many. On The Dot is meant to take the guesswork out of leaving so you can stay organized and on time.

He also makes OurBudget, a household budgeting app. Both products keep your data under your Apple ID.
